After fashion show

Mi imbarazza un pò pubblicare questa foto della sfilata al Job & Orienta di Verona, ma è il poco che vi posso offrire in attesa delle fotografie ufficiali. Ad ogni modo, l'evento è stato un successo per quel che mi riguarda. Avere la conferma che il proprio lavoro viene apprezzato, mi fa pensare che tutto questo valga la pena di continuare. 

Nel frattempo ho sviluppato una vera e propria ossessione per i capi che mi ricordano i volumi degli anni '50.

I'm embarrassed to publish this fashion show’s photo at the Job & Orienta of Verona, but  I can offer only this picture waiting for the official photographs. However, the event was a success! Confirm that your work is appreciated, it makes me think that all this is worth continuing.

In the meantime, I have developed an obsession for clothes that remind me the volumes of the 50s.

Non sono adorabili? La cosa migliore è che un taglio del genere sta bene anche a chi, come la maggior parte delle donne, non ha fianchi da modella.

Sfilata - Fashion show

Avete letto bene: sfilata! La mia prima. 
Non pensiate ad un'intera collezione o ad uno spazio tutto mio (ce n'è di strada da fare per una cosa così!), ma veder sfilare anche un solo abito è stato molto soddisfacente e mi ha confermato l'amore che provo per questa professione.
Tutto si è svolto proprio come avevo immaginato: un caos dietro le quinte e la perfezione in passerella. 
Mani Creative a Verona mi ha permesso di mostrare la mia capacità!

You read that right: a fashion show! My first.

Don’t think an entire collection or a space of my own (there is way to go for such a thing), but see one my dress was very satisfactory and confirmed to me the love I feel for this profession.

Everything went just as I had imagined: a chaos behind the scenes and perfection on the catwalk.

Betty ha sempre un sorriso da condividere. Distesa sull’erba, gioca ad intrecciare dei fiori tra i suoi lunghi capelli e ripensa alle avventure che l’estate le ha regalato. Chissà se il prossimo anno rivedrà le sue adorate montagne o se sarà costretta tra le mura della città che le possono comunque offrire un gelato e qualche chiaccherata con le amiche di sempre.

Betty has always a smile to share. Lying on the grass, play to weave flowers in her long hair and think about the adventures that this summer gaves to her. Who knows if next year she will visit again its beloved mountains or if she will be forced between walls of her city that can still offer an ice cream and some chat with friends forever.

Work in progress

Abito di Valentino da ultimare (come si vede bene dai fili sporgenti e dall'orlo mancante...): questa era partita come una prova il poliestere, ma è già bello. Forse lo preferirei in taffetà prima di tutto perchè non mi piacciono molto i tessuti sintetici e poi perchè la rigidità del tessuto manterrebbe la gonna più gonfia.

Valentino's to be completed (as may be seen from the threads and missing hem...): This started as a test of polyester, but it is already cute. Maybe I would prefer taffeta, first of all because I do not really like synthetic fabrics and also because the stiffness of the fabric would keep the skirt more swollen.

 

Sarebbe possibile aggiungere delle spalline, ma sono indecisa...voi che ne pensate?


It would be possible add straps, but I'm undecided... what do you think?

Simil Chanel

Per questo capo mi sono ispirata a una giacchina di Chanel addocchiata su una vecchia rivista: proprio per questo non riesco più a trovare l'immagine originale, ma almeno posso mostrarvi il mio lavoro!

For this cloth I was inspired by a Chanel jacket saw on an old magazine: because of this I can't find the original image, but at least I can show you my work!

Vi sarà utile sapere che una giacca del genere sta meglio a persone basse (come me, infatti) che a persone alte. Infatti allunga la figura "spostando" il punto vita più in alto. Ovviamente vale il contrario: nonostante a me piacciano molto, le giacche lunghe come i frac mi abbasserebbero notevolmente.

There will be useful to know that a jacket like this is better on short people (like me, for example) than tall people. In fact lenghtens the figure "moving" the waist higher. Obviously the opposite is true: although I like long tailcoat jackets very much they lower me.
